History of the company
Quality management policy
- Produce and supply our customers with safe prepared and instant food products of stable quality, and provide high quality service according to the quality policy requirements in the company;
- Educate, explain and involve employees to the implementation of objectives and tasks in line with our industry-specific and legislation requirements;
- Offer to customers new products while maintaining quality standards and keeping track of the latest trends in food production and consumer preferences.
The company’s development history
In September 2010 the company implements a major restructuring project with purpose to separate production and distribution of the real estate. Hereinafter the prepared and instant food products under the brand name Lango will be produced and delivered to the customers by “Lango R&D”, Ltd.
On the 8th September 2010 Lango participates in the exhibition “Riga Food 2010” in Riga, and presents both its customers and partners with the progress made in recent years – news in the product groups, packaging and design, as well as presenting the new product group – Lango Classical pizza.

On the 21st May 2010 the Chairman of the Board of Lango Ltd Andrejs Fraimanis receives the mark of distinction „The best producer – distributor of 2009”, established by the Latvian Traders Association, the sixth consecutive time.
On the 15th April 2010 the Classical sandwich with bacon, produced by Lango Ltd, is recognized as the favorite product in Latvia in 2009 and receives the award “Product of the Year 2009”, established by the Latvian Traders Association.
On the 1st December 2009 Lango Ltd receives the certificate ISO 9001:2008 assuring that the company’s quality management system complies with international standard. It is presented by the certification manager of Bureau Veritas Latvia Ltd Iveta Lazdina and leading auditor Janis Altenburgs.
On the 10th June 2009 the Chairman of the Board of Lango Ltd Andrejs Fraimanis receives the mark of distinction „The best producer – distributor of 2009”, established by the Latvian Traders Association, for the contribution in the development of the enterprise and food production in Latvia.
On the 3rd April 2009 the Classical sandwich with salmon ans the Classical pancakes with meat filling are recognized as the favorite products in Latvia and receives the award “Product of the Year 2008”, established by the Latvian Traders Association.
On the 25th April 2008 the products produced by Lango Ltd – the Classical pancakes with smoked meat and cheese, the Classical sandwich with chicken and the Classical spicy cheese salad – receive the award “Product of the Year 2007”, established by the Latvian Traders Association.
On the 7th June 2007 the Chairman of the Board of Lango Ltd Andrejs Fraimanis receives the mark of distinction „The best producer – distributor of 2006”.
On the 9th May the products produced by Lango Ltd – the Classical pancakes with meat and the Classical sandwich with chicken – receive the award “Product of the Year 2006”, established by the Latvian Traders Association.
On 19th December 2007 Lango Ltd receives the certification of the food company recognition.
On 26th April 2006 the brand new prepared and instant food production unit, worth of 2.1 million LVL and the most modern in the Baltic States, is opened with the solemn ceremony in Stopini region.
On the 5th October 2006 the Chairman of the Board of Lango Ltd Andrejs Fraimanis receives the mark of distinction „The best producer – distributor of 2005”. This mark of distinction is established by the Latvian Traders Association and is presented in the solemn ceremony in the Ministry of Economics of Latvia.
On the 14th June 2005 the contract is signed with JSC Hansabanka about 1.6 million LVL funding for the construction of company’s new production unit and equipment acquisition.
On 19th June 2005 is being officially put the foundation-stone of the company’s Lango new production unit building.
In 2004 the new pancake production equipment BALPE is purchased from France to improve the production technologies that allows the company to provide high quality pancake production.
In 2004 the company launches the construction project of a new manufacturing complex in collaboration with German enterprise CONCEPTA GMBH THE GERMAN ARCHITECTS AND ENGENEERS FOR YOUR FOOD PRODUCTION PLANT.
In 2004 the Meat Salad receives the nomination “Product of the Year 2004” in the contest organized by the Latvian Traders Association.
In 2004 a new product group – PANCAKES Thin &Ready is created and presented in the exhibition “Riga Food 2004”. These pancakes do not require advanced treatment, since they are already prepared and easy to use just by heating.
In 1999 the company’s production has been shifted to Juglas street 25 in Riga.
In 1998 the company develops and constantly enlarges and the decision to invest in new production facilities is made.
In 1996 on the base of Latvian University canteen the company is created, which starts the production and delivery of salads to some of the shops in Riga, a little later the different kinds of pancakes and desserts.
