Lango is Awarded 86 Thousand Lats of EU Structural Funds Support

On 27 August 2007, in the framework of the project ”Modernisation of Production in Accordance with Work Safety Requirements” Lango LTD was awarded 86 005.62 LVL European Union Structural Funds co-financing support.
”Latvian Investment and Development Agency”, within the framework of the support programme for the above mentioned project, called ”Support to Modernisation of the Business Infrastructure”, subprogramme ”Business Improvement in Accordance with Applicable Standards”, approved the amount of the support, which shall be 55% of the eligible costs of the project and shall be made up 54 730.85 LVL, granted by the European Regional Development Fund, and 31 274.78 LVL, granted by the Republic of Latvia.
”I am convinced that our enterprise should develop through further investments in modern technologies and new production equipment. This co-financing enabled us to purchase new, modern production lines which will complement the existing ones, be in line with all work safety requirements and contribute to the productivity of our enterprise and the development of the food industry as a whole,” explains Andrejs Fraimanis, board president of Lango LTD.

With 2.3 million lat investments, the enterprise has built a new production unit, in compliance with law and conforming to standards applicable in the European Union, and introduced innovative technologies that allow fabrication of foods with extended shelf-life without adding any potentially harmful preservatives.
