Ltd Lango increses the turnover by 23%

The leading producer of ready-made and instant food products Ltd Lango , has concluded the year 2008 with the turnover of 3 754 685 lats, which exceeds the respective period of the previous year by 23%. These results have been achieved by constant implementation of the strategies and objectives set forth by the company.
The results of the year 2008 were achieved thaks to the company's long-term strategic framework of a competitive advantage – the modern production unit and technological lines, pursuant to European Union's standards, allowe to offer qualitative, tasty and safe products in attractive packaging. There was a possibility significantly increase production capacity without increasing the number of staff, but at the same time increasing the profitability of production.
Last year the product mix portfolio has been realigned, supplemented by new products and packaging types. In the future the good results of progress will provide the company's efficiency, starting with an effective feedstock material procurement system in the Baltics, raising the efficiency of production processes and finally the use of the work resources.
The chairman of the Board of Ltd Lango Andrejs Fraimanis says: „The year 2008 was active and interesting period. To achieve the objectives and expected results, more energy and skills were need to put in. In the year 2009 will no longer be able to reach such a fast development as in previous years in the industry of prepared and instant food production because of the current economic situation in the country. Company's planned increase in turnover in 2009 is associated only with targeted acquisition and development of export markets. Therefore in December 2008 the council has been formed to develop activities in all the Baltic countries' markets, additionaly attracting investments for business expansion.”
In June 2008 Lango has made a strategic move, started to export production in Lithuania, establishing a subsidiary company UAB Lango LT, setting up office and central distribution center in Vilnius. According to the operational data of the year 2008 the ammount of 200 000 lats are invested in this project. The first every-day deliveries to customers – Ltd Rimi and Ltd Palink (IKI), Ltd Maxima supermarket chains and other customers are opened till now. The company's structure is made out and the new team has started its work. The logistics and Lango production distribution all over Lithuania have been started in December 2008. In the first year of work the enterprise plans to reach the turnover of 1,4 million EUR.

Founded in 1992 by local businessmen Lango is a leading producer of prepared and instant food products. Due to investments of 2,5 million lats the enterprise has established a new production unit, pursuant to legislation and European Union's standards, and introduced innovative technologies which allow to extend the realization term of products without adding harmful for health preservatives. The enterprise produces salads, pancakes and sandwiches which are arranged in the following groups – everyday product group and classical product group. One the 17th of June 2008 the subsidiary company UAB Lango LT was founded and the active Lithuanian market uptaking was started.
