The quality management system of Lango wins international recognition

On the 1^st December this year the leading producer of prepared and instant food products „Lango” Ltd will receive the certificate ISO 9001:2008 which avers the conformity of enterprise’s quality management system to the international standard. The certificate will be awarded by Iveta Lazdina, Certification Manager, and Janis Altenburgs, Leading Auditor of “Bureau Veritas Latvia” Ltd.

Chairman of the Board of „Lango” Ltd Andrejs Fraimanis: “Lango goal since the first day the operation is to produce safe and tasty product of high and stable quality by investing in long-term development. Targeted business development activities in Latvian and Lithuanian markets, planning of export and respecting the increasing demands of clients was taken in a logical step – the company's quality management system certification according to international standards and acquisition of the ISO certificate. It confirms the company's competitiveness and high level of responsibility for consumers, business partners and our employees, and provides satisfaction for the accomplished work”.

Certification Manager of „Bureau Veritas Latvia” Iveta Lazdina: “We are really proud and happy for getting acquainted with the Lango Ltd whose careful and sustained efforts have led to the ISO 9001:2008 certificate. During our collaboration we have seen the company's high motivation towards certification. Certainly we want to point out the practical approach to implementing the requirements of the standard by which the best of its operating performance can be reached. The fundamental elements of quality management systems are very useful and applicable for the company's evolution and development, especially now when it is necessary to think about objective assessment of processes, their efficiency analysis, management, and, of course, perfection. Founded in 1992 by local businessmen Lango is a leading producer of prepared and instant food products. Due to investments of 2.5 million lats the enterprise has established a new production unit, pursuant to legislation and European Union's standards, and introduced innovative technologies which allow extending the realization term of products without adding harmful for health preservatives. The enterprise produces salads, pancakes and sandwiches. One the 17th of June 2008 the subsidiary company UAB Lango LT was founded and active adopting of the Lithuanian market was started with the aim of the first year to reach turnover of 1.4 million euro.
