Lango is the first in the Baltic States to open vending machines for salads and sandwiches
This year on September 7 Lango, being the first in the Baltic States to realise a project worth 53.400 EUR, start sale of flaky sandwiches and salads by vending machines in public places.
“Taking care about our consumers’ wishes, we have invested in the new work direction – vending machines for our own products – salads and sandwiches, which will allow rising of the turnover by 15%. At the moment, there are purchased first machines, and in future we are planning to extend their number”, says Ltd Lango Board chairman Andrejs Fraimanis.
Machines are to be placed in public places where people are staying whatever purpose they have, but they do not have time enough to enjoy meal in a coffee or there is no such possibility at all. The first machines have been positioned in Latvian Television, School of Business Administration “Turiba”, and are planned to be placed in the University of Latvia, Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, Riga Bus Station, trading centre Spice, and elsewhere, with intention to increase the number of such places.
The Board chairmen of the School of Business Administration “Turība” Aigars Rostovskis informs: “Lango offered us to place a snack machine in the premises of the School of Business Administration “Turiba” We agreed, as we consider that on the territory of the school it is necessary to comply with different clients’ wishes, including a wish to purchase food quickly, without attending another our catering places. Hope, the cooperation will be mutually beneficial."
The economic director of state nonprofit LLC “Latvian Television” explains: “Such location of vending machines of salads and sandwiches in public places is highly evaluated, and provide people with supplemented conveniences. This allows Latvian Television staff, especially at night, saving time, and simultaneously enjoying savoury meal.”
Consumers of salads and sandwiches vending machines will have a possibility to purchase six different types of flaky sandwiches and eight different types of salads, which are supplied with a fork for consumers’ convenience. There are in total 160 product units in vending machines. In machines, produced in the European Union, is preserved constant temperature +3 degrees that corresponds to safe food product storage.
