Lango beginning summer with healthy green salads
Ltd Lango, the leading producer of prepared and instant food products in Latvia, starts to offer a new product group – fresh salads. Already starting from today three new salads are available in stores at fuel filling stations and press sales outlets. It is planned that in the near future new products will be available in supermarkets.
“Following market tendencies and considering consumers’ wishes, we have created a new product group “Fresh salads”. The core of the receipt also of this Lango product is high quality and perfect taste. Along with the new product group, we are planning to increase the turnover by 15%. Our consumers pay even more attention to the healthy life style; so, we suppose that this product will be included in the fixed assortment and produced the year round,” comments Ltd Lango Board chairman Andrejs Fraimanis.
The head dietician specialists association of Latvia Andris Bremanis comments the necessity of potherbs in daily life: “It is necessary to eat vegetables and potherbs not only in summer but the year round. Potherbs – dill, parsley, spring onions, leek, and celery – do not have calories; they contain up to 90% of water, and have important vitamins and mineral substances, e.g. vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene. A significant element of potherbs is kalium that facilitates the liquids out of the organism. What's more, leafs, radish, leek, spring onions, and tomatoes contain much ferrum. Potherbs have special flavour, as they have essential oils in their composition. This helps to vary meal flavour – therefore, there is no need to add salt or other unhealthy adjuncts. Potherbs are a perfect source of antioxidants that helps to control free radicals, which provoke, for example, cardiovascular diseases.” The new Lango product group comprises three types of fresh salads: with cheese, chicken, and tuna. Sauce is in a separate packing, and the consumer can add the needed amount himself. The packing is supplied with a fork.
